Trusted Option Tarkett iQ Granit Soft Black 636 Homogeneous Vinyl is built for spaces where heavy traffic and lasting resilience both matter. With a 6 feet 6 inches width and available by the square foot, this flooring gives commercial projects flexibility-whether you need full rolls or custom cuts. You’re getting a genuine Made in USA product, backed by a 20-year commercial warranty, so it’s clear Tarkett stands behind the durability of this line.
Coverage and performance aren’t at odds here. The 2 mm thickness balances comfort underfoot with the dense, one-piece construction that homogeneous vinyl is known for. There’s no wear layer to worry about chipping or peeling-color and pattern go all the way through. In black, the Soft Black 636 finish presents a subtle directional pattern that reads as modern but avoids looking glossy or busy under direct overhead light.
This line is set up to handle what most commercial environments throw at it. The iQ PUR finish handles daily foot traffic, rolling carts, and the kind of wear typical of lobbies, corridors, healthcare facilities, and educational buildings. You don’t need to wax this surface-buffing brings back the original luster, saving both time and ongoing maintenance costs. Stain and abrasion resistance are baked in, not just surface deep, and the dry-buff restoration option means you can touch up high-impact areas instead of scheduling full refinishing sessions.
The glue-down installation method is straightforward, with sheets that are flexible enough to work around architectural details while staying stable under pressure. For project managers or installers, having a 6.56′ width means far fewer seams across large areas and a cleaner overall appearance. The full roll runs 82 feet 7 inches if you want to limit waste or make fast work of expansive floorplans.
If you’re matching finishes, the iQ Granit series in Soft Black 636 does have that signature Tarkett directional pattern-consistent but never monotonous. For renovation, replacement, or new builds aiming for longevity without sacrificing visual detail, this series earns its reputation for reliability.
