Composition:
Raffir® HeatWave Sparkle composite blocks are made with beautiful colored resin and aluminum material shavings. The colored epoxy resin is translucent causing there to be an incredible a 3D depth to the material. The resin used in producing these block is heat sensitive in that it will actually cause the color to brighten when exposed to heat such as your body heat from your hand, sunlight or another heat source. The heat will not weaken or otherwise affect the material.

This beautiful material is great for knife handles, jewelry, pool cues, pens and much more
Processing:
You can easily craft or CNC-mill Raffir® Composite Blocks. You can even use the same tools as you would for wood or bone. Furthermore, it obtains a beautiful high-gloss finish after polishing. Finish sanding at grit 400 or higher before polishing. Then polish directly on a medium hard cotton wheel with a polish wax for hard plastics.
