Southwire 14 AWG stranded THHN building wire is a flexible copper conductor wrapped in PVC insulation and a durable nylon sheath, designed for use in conduit and cable trays. This 50-foot length of red wire is primarily used for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications as specified in the National Electrical Code.
The bright red color coding simplifies identification on job sites and helps prevent wiring errors during installation. With its stranded copper construction, this wire bends smoothly around conduit elbows and routes easily through tight spaces, making it ideal for both new construction and renovation projects.
Features and Benefits
- 14 AWG Stranded Copper: Provides superior conductivity and flexibility for easy routing through conduit and tight spaces.
- Red Nylon Jacket: High-visibility color simplifies wiring plans and reduces cross-connections, while the abrasion-resistant sheath protects against mechanical damage.
- THHN Rating: Engineered for conduit and cable tray installations in commercial and industrial applications, meeting National Electrical Code standards.
- 600 Volt Rating: Safely handles typical building power loads for services, feeders, and branch circuits.
- PVC Insulation with Nylon Sheath: Durable construction protects the conductor from damage and mechanical wear.
